Rachel & Russell Wedding + Reception » A Twist of Lemon Photography
On an extremely warm June day, Rachel & Russell were married in the beautiful, Bountiful LDS temple. With a rich, classic color scheme of deep red, black, and natural greens, a classy and sophisticated gown, and a private, passionate love for each other, I was thrilled to tell their story. From the bride: “Russell and I had been attending the same church for a year and a half and had never spoken. He was a little shy and I didn’t really seem like his type. I had noticed him and thought he looked way too young for me. I was asked to help with a church musical activity and I asked who played guitar in our ward and I was told to ask Russell Dennis. He said yes to playing and I invited him over to my place each week to practice. I found out that Russell was only a…

This family session was incredibly fun, laid-back and care free. Danielle was the winner of my photo session giveaway, wahoo! Danielle and her adorable family live in Salt Lake City, so she really wanted me to capture the essence of their everyday life as a family, riding the TRAX, walking around the city streets, and getting pizza at their favorite spot, Pier 49 Pizza. They literally just let me shadow them for 90 minutes while they had a family outing, which was perfect because their authenticity and loving personalities were evident in each photo. And if this family wasn’t cool enough, Danielle is a photographer and Aaron is a comedian, and those are their only jobs! They’re both making a living doing what they absolutely love, and they’re darn good at it. Check out Aaron at Stand Up Comedy in SLC for some laughs, and you can see Danielle’s photography…
Client Compliments – Utah Wedding Photographer | A Twist of Lemon Photography
In a nutshell: A Twist of Lemon Photography is a wedding day must! “A Twist of Lemon Photography was nothing short of spectacular. Kat listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond our expectations. She gracefully captured all the wonderful moments of getting ready for the wedding, the ceremony, reception, and the after party. We had a large request as we celebrated our marriage twice, back to back weekends in different states. Kat rose to the challenge, shooting both weekends events energetic and cheerful as ever. There is no better feeling in the world to know that all the memories and magic of this special time have been captured for you to remember and share forever. A Twist of Lemon Photography is a wedding day must.” -Chelsey, 2015 Bride In a nutshell: Best photographer any bride could ask for! “Kathryn Bruns (or as I like to refer to…
Becky & Paul | Bridals & Mountain Dell Wedding | Salt Lake City, UT » A Twist of Lemon Photography | Utah Wedding Photographer
Whoo boy, I am waaay behind on my blogging. And it’s a sad thing too, there are so many beautiful couples that I’m dying to share with you! The first being this lovely couple, who will celebrate their 1 year anniversary next month! BECKY & PAUL THE BRIDALS Becky and Paul are some of the most fun people I’ve ever met. Becky was set on the beautiful Saltair for their bridal session, and of course it rained all day long – but we decided to go for it anyway and, as the case usually is with Saltair, the storm passed and rewarded us with some pretty spectacular skies and the absence of bugs (my photographer friends know just how bad those can be!). Seriously, Utah skies after a storm are pretty unbelievable. P I N this to pinterest P I N this to pinterest P I N this to pinterest…
A Second Look » A Twist of Lemon Photography | Utah Wedding Photographer
It’s interesting to see how your perspective changes over time. I was inspired by a fellow photographer to go back over a previous shoot and look at some of the photos I originally passed over. As a team, we were trying to get this shoot published on a wedding blog (it was published on 2, yes!), so we were very selective of the photos we were going to submit. However, I can’t help but love some of the ones I originally thought wouldn’t make it into a published post. Sometimes a shot or a pose that’s a little less traditional can be the shots that keep the story of your post moving and fresh. 2014 In Review » A Twist of Lemon Photography | Utah Wedding Photographer
2014 was an amazing year for A Twist of Lemon! My experience and skill has grown exponentially, and by really putting my heart into my business I’ve changed the quality of everything I do and offer to my amazing clients, whom I’m proud to have become good friends with over this last year. They, along with an incredible industry of photographers, wedding planners, florists, and so much more, have really helped me to see my own value, and I’m going into 2015 with a renewed confidence and passion – just you wait! A few highlights from this year: -I got to work closely with other vendors on 3 gorgeous styled shoots, all three of which were showcased (or will be, this month, wahoo!) on national and international wedding blogs! -I got to photograph several of my dear friends’ weddings, and made many more friends along the way. -I rebranded my business,…
Emily & Alex Utah Capitol Bridals | Utah Wedding Photographer » A Twist of Lemon Photography | Utah Wedding Photographer
Hey hey, remember these two? It was a pleasure to finally meet Em & Alex in person since Jessica was the one who shot their engagement session for me, and by the end of this bridal session at the beautiful Utah Capitol Building I was legitimately feeling sad that I wasn’t going to be able to shoot their wedding. These lovers have a genuinely fiery connection, which led to some of my favorite shots of all time. And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t tempted to edit the entire session in black and white. Em & Alex, thank you for being willing to drive 3+ hours to me for both your engagement and formal sessions — I’m truly amazed at your kindness and incredible personalities, and I am honored and humbled that you placed photos with me at such a high priority for your wedding. Love you two, best of…
