2014 was an amazing year for A Twist of Lemon! My experience and skill has grown exponentially, and by really putting my heart into my business I’ve changed the quality of everything I do and offer to my amazing clients, whom I’m proud to have become good friends with over this last year. They, along with an incredible industry of photographers, wedding planners, florists, and so much more, have really helped me to see my own value, and I’m going into 2015 with a renewed confidence and passion – just you wait!
A few highlights from this year:
-I got to work closely with other vendors on 3 gorgeous styled shoots, all three of which were showcased (or will be, this month, wahoo!) on national and international wedding blogs!
-I got to photograph several of my dear friends’ weddings, and made many more friends along the way.
-I rebranded my business, thanks to the lovely Jess Kasteler Design Studio!
-I revamped the website! Revamp is kind of an understatement, it was a total redo and the results are phenomenally better than what I had before!
-I sampled and worked with many different labs and product companies to find the best products to represent my brand and give the highest quality to my clients.
-I met several photographers in person from our incredible photography group on Facebook. This group has been vastly important in my growth, fostering creativity and support, business and customer service skills, and sharing our work for constructive criticism. It’s nice to be a part of something where we all want each other to succeed, even in an incredibly competitive and over-saturated market.
-I defined my niche; as of 2015 I will no longer be offering family shoots over groups of 4 (which will still be pretty rare), because my passion lies in wedding and editorial photography. That is where I give my very best, thrive the most, and have the most creative success with my images. I’ll still try different shoots here and there to continue to stretch my vision and skills, but knowing what I love to create gives my clients the best experience I can offer.
Truly, thank you, for an incredible year. This is the year I realized what I can do, thanks to endless support from clients, friends, and most importantly my loving family. I also wish to personally thank Claire Buys of Claire Marika Photography, for getting me on track with beautiful product resources as well as collaborating with me on all three published shoots – I’ve learned a lot and I’m very grateful for your friendship!
Wishing you all the happiest for 2015! Here are a few of my personal favorites from 2014:
